Wow.. Felt tired to blog yesterday cause I had a tiring day last Saturday.. Reason??
Three groups including mine from my class went to do Community Involvement Project(CIP) at a temple(Sorry I forgot the name of the temple..) at Bishan.. We are doing it for the Mercy Relief..
All of us who went there met at Bishan mrt station and we went to the temple by taking bus no. 410(white).. We alight at the stop near the temple and walked inside..
Then we got lost in the huge place and we finally found our way cause we found some guy wearing yellow t-shirt hu knew the CIP stuff.. Well, he brought us there and we walked chilly to the location of the CIP work..
There we met the head of the Mercy Relief, Mr Andrew.. He then assigned us to our respective work..
Anjum, May and Janice were put to work of packing the tying the bags with small tags.
And we guys have the honour of making the boxes to put in the bags..
Benn got the easiest job of just folding the box into place..
While the rest of us have to sticky-tape the box..
This is the example of how the box should end like..
But Benn was doing it so quickly that he was building a tower without even noticing it.. Or did he??
So to counter that, we double our speed of production and quickly sticky-tape many boxes as fast as we could..
Even I rope in to quicken up the work..
Then after the boxes were done, we have to paste some stickers on it like what Jay here is doing.. Well, he is happy doing it..
But in the end the box tower was inevitable.. Benn kept folding and throwing.. He was pro on it..
Finally, we finished a few batches of the boxes we folded..
So after the other ppl put the bags in the box, we quickly stack them up and wrap the whole thing in plastic..
Now after about 2 hours later, we were told that we could go off for a break but we decided to finish some more boxes bfore we leave for awhile..
After completing the task, 3/4 of the whole 3 groups went to 'Junction 8' to have our lunch..
We were like pratically enjoing the meal there as it was delicious especially my mee goreng..
Well, we ate as slowly as we can until we were stuffed.. But as humans, we made a mess on the table..
After having our lunch, we went back.. When we reached back at the same location, we were given temporary post of packing the bags.. Jac was happy to do the packing..
Benn and Jay playing with the toys which were supposed to be put inside the box..
Genie has the best job of just pushing in and out the pellets with many boxes..
Well, apparently another group of students, mainly from secondary schools came and helped out..
Well, the whole place was a buzz.. Felt like Im at the hawker centre..
So as we packed the remaining boxes, Andrew told us that they were lacking some of the stuff needed to be put inside the bag..
So we had to sort them out and named them NT for no tags and NS for no stickers.. I forgot what NN stands for..
So after finishing the whole thing, we were then assigned to just bring the boxes to one side of the hall.
But other than that, we have fun talking to one another and even took pictures together..
Then Benn got excited over boxes.. Literally..
He go and cut out two holes at the side for hands and he wore it like a joker he always like to be..
See he's gaining fans so quickly..
I wanted to show you the video but only Jac has it.. But Jac's internet got a slight problem so yup no video..
So anyway, we left the place after 7hours after the start of our CIP work..
Jac as always was Mat Cool even when going home.. What does he have that we dont??
So me, Benn, Genie and Amirul took a train bound for Jurong East to get home while JJ and jac took the other route heading to City Hall..
Genie alighted at Kranjio first so that he can take a bus to go to Malaysia..
Well, the rest of the journey home was a quiet one.. But Benn at least has the last word to end off my entry..
