Man, I hate dirty public toilets!! I juz went to West Mall's toilet on the 3rd floor and guess wat?? Dirty flooring!! Not only that, the smell was horrendous..

Looking at it make me think twice of doing my business and quickly walked out of the toilet.. This is wat i THINK..

Inconsiderate members of the public who mess up the toilets should be made to clean toilets for a week!

How catch? spy cam? Hard lah.....difficult to implement.

I also had the same question in mind. Enacting a law against inconsiderate toilet users doesn't necessarily mean that the law must be enforced absolutely. There are laws against littering and smoking as well but these laws are difficult to enforce as well arn't they?

Even with this campaign(above).. The public juz don't bother wif it..

Anyway, why then do we still have these laws against litter bugs? Simply, laws can act as forewarnings and not merely as a punitive measure. Potential toilet abusers will think twice about their habits with such laws enacted.

By apprehending one or two of these inconsiderate users, we can send a strong message out to all other toilet abusers. Drugs, chewing gums and illegal VCDs go pass our borders everyday yet, there are still laws to proscribe potential violators arn't there?

Anyway, whatever happen to CWO (corrective work order)? Is it still being enforced? Not much publicity nowadays...guess it has lost it's flavour.

But the question? is still how to implement and enforce. Do u want an uncle and an auntie watching u do your business? Maybe u could suggest one.

good suggestion but hard to action agree with gericho laws can act as forewarning but not punitive measure enhance public consciousness would be better than making them clean up

These are some of my opinion I made during my many visits to alot of public toilets:

1. Actually, many a times, users are left with no choice but to mess up the toilets !

2. Look around, 10 out of 10 dirty toilets are due to faulty amenities. Either the flush is faulty or the water is slow and weak. Contractors who consistently use lousy quality flush system should be penalized and banned.

3. The authorities should also look into enforcements to specify a particular brand/type of flushing system for public toilets. Ban the use of low quality brands.

4. I noticed that at least 1 in every 2 sensors or push button type of flushing system would fail within half a year.

5. Every toilet should also have a water tap but you seldom see one.

6. All it takes is a little common sense. Dun always blame on the users. Contractors and the authorites should bear 70% of the blame. I dun see how you can mess up a toilet with perfect working amenities.

7. Of course there are also stupid people who are born poor shooters and bombers.
