Me, Syazwan and Din walked at Suntec City for the whole of Thursday night and today's pre-dawn for a crazy campaign of chit-chatting till we drop. We want to live our life to the fullest as the result is 2morrow..
And I did feel like dropping at the end of everything.
We talked about practically everything, from the true meaning of life to the greatest known chio bu in poly if we ever make it. From time to time, we admitted that if an outsider were to come into our conversation, the person would probably freak out and scream when we delve into deeper topics.
Still, I think as a group of friends, we value a lot of morals more highly than other people. We don't go around playing people's hearts (which believe it or not, most guys actually engage in doing).
Maybe we just nerdy or what la, but it's great that we don't start smoking, drinking etc.
Small talk can be a very fun affair with the right person and the right topic. However, how many times have we found ourselves in a situation when we are, much to our dismay, the eternal speaker?
Between acquaintances, if we don't share (I must emphasise the word "share"!) something deeper than topics about the weather, it is impossible to become friends at all. Because you see... There's this thing about understanding, trust and care and concern when you open your heart out.
Maybe it's because we all have a soul, and friendship is just in other words, the interaction between each other's souls. Sounds a bit freaky... But having friendships really make us more human, among other things.
Oops, I shall stop before I find myself ranting on and on.
