Sypnosis: We get a recap of Phase 42 with a slight emphasis on Athrun's launch. Meyrin runs alongside the railings as Athrun launches in Infinite Justice. Murdock chases after him asking what he's doing. As Athrun closes the hatch to launch, Murdock informs Murrue about the launch. Murrue is shocked but Lacus enters the bridge and assures her it's all right. Destiny and Freedom begin battling by firing it's Plasma Cannon at Kira. Kira blocks with his beam shield and quickly evades a few shots from Destiny's Beam Rifle. Justice begins the launch sequence as seen at the end of Phase 42.
The Episode starts off with the DOMs battling a few ZAKUs. Their team attack easily tears apart a few more Zakus along with Ashes and a GINN Ocher. A Murasame duo manage to disable two GOUFs by firing from above and destroying their left arm and flight pack. At ORB HQ, Cagalli is informed that there is still no sign of Djibril. The Archangel continues exchanging fire with he Minerva. Neo and his grasper manages to take down one of the Minerva's cannons, but it returned fire and damaged the wings of the grasper, forcing him to land. He messages the Archangel for permission to land. Murrue acknowledges and tells the mechanics to clear out for an emergency landing. Neo suddenly gets a flash back of the Battle of Alaska, and him landing in a similar situation as Mu La Flaga. He shakes it off and lands the grasper.
Kira and Shin continue enchanging Rifle shots, with neither getting hit. Legend joins the battle and fires it's docked DRAGOONs. Freedom nimbly dodges with a backflip. Legend combines his rifle and DRAGOONs and spams his beams at Freedom. Again Freedom dances around the beams easily. Kira recognize the attack of Legend to be similar of Rau's Providence. Destiny decides to close in for an attack and activates it's Wings of Light. He closes in on Freedom and unleashes a Beam Palm attack, but Kira lets off a round kick and knocks Destiny away. Kira aims his Rifle at Shinn but Legend backs him up, causing Kira to drop the attack and dodge. Legend aims his DRAGOONs at Kira and fires along with his Rifle. Kira unleashes his left arm's Beam Shield, attempting to block the blast, but the impact causes Kira to fly in a discourse.
Rey calls on Shinn to deliver a blow to Kira while he is stunned. Shinn unleashes his Beam Cannon and locks on to the spinning Freedom. Right before he can pull the trigger, a haunting voice is heard. Athrun calls Shinn to stop as he throws his Beam Boomerang at him. Shinn deflects it with his Beam Shield but Athrun rams him with his shield, causing both of them to get knocked back. Both Rey and Kira are also surprised to see Athrun. Shinn still can't believe Athrun is still alive, as he flashes back to Phase 38. Athrun asks him if the things he is doing is the thing he desires. Would striking down Logos or battling ORB accomplish what he wants. Rey attacks Athrun and tells Shinn not to listen to him. Kira intervenes and drives Lgend away. Shinn attempts to go after Freedom, but is blocked by Athrun.
Back in ORB, several officers are seen escorting Yuna. As a Murasame and GOUF chase each other overhead, Yuna uses it as a distraction and headbutts a guard and runs away. Suddenly, the GOUF gets shot down and cames falling down on Yuna. The guards try to call out to him but it's too late. The eyes on the GOUF deactivate and Yuna is presumed dead. The four mobile suits continue their battle, with Strike Freedom against Legend and Destiny against Justice. Shinn unleashes a Beam Boomerang, but instead changes it into a Mini-Beam Saber and strikes Justice. Justice blocks with his Beam Shield. Shinn takes his other and throws the two together at Athrun. Athrun deflects the first with his Shield and kicks the other with his Knee-Beam unleashed.
Rey mutters the name Freedom in hate and unleashes his Beam Javelin. Freedom unleashes his Beam Saber on the right hand and Beam Shield on the left. The two clash their swords, as the shockwave from the impact is visible. Murrue commands the Archangel to submerge into the water. Talia tells the crew that there is nothing they can do once the Archangel is underwater. She tells them to asccend quickly. Once underwater, Murrue commands the Valiant cannons to fire, as they hit the back of the Minerva.
Djibril grows impatient of waiting for the Seylans on their personal shuttle. The ORB officers argues they can't leave with Yuna and Unato (both which are dead). Djibril says that he is the one that is important, not the Seylans. Back on the battlefield, Shinn unleashes his Anti-Ship Sword and Wings of Light. Athrun blocks the hit with his double-sided Beam Saber. Shinn gets a flashback of defeating Athrun in a GOUF, Stellar's death, and being awarded the Nebula award. Shinn gets angry and enters his Seed Mode. He knocks Athrun back and proceeds leaving afterimages. Upon seeing this, Athrun activates his own Seed Mode. He rushes forward towards Destiny and slashes. As the blinding light fades, we see a red mark on Destiny's wrist, following an explosion, blowing it's right hand off. Shinn is completely shocked and stares blankly.
Talia contacts the submarine captain and tells him they should have a temporary retreat. The Captain answers angrily and refuses, but a shot from the Archangel destroys 2 of the submarines and communication is cut. Just then, they detect a shuttle launching. ORB also sees the launch and recognizes the Seylan emblem on the shuttle. Talia commands Lunamaria to take it down since there is a good chance Djibril is inside. Lunamaria launches from the Minerva and forms Force Impulse. Cagalli also commands for some Murasames to take it down. Luna's Impulse out flies the Murasames as she fires repeatedly at the shuttle. To everyone's surprise, Lunamaria's shots all miss, and the shuttle is already to high to go after. Everyone is disapointed and surprised.
Talia orders for all forces and Mobile Suits to retreat. Shinn reluctantly stops battle with Justice and flies off. As Athrun watches Shinn fly off he faints in his cockpit, and Justice suddenly drops down to the ocean. Kira rushes in with Freedom and catches him, while yelling towards Athrun. The Archangel appears under them as the two land. Kira quickly takes Athrun out of the cockpit and lays him on the floor. He takes off Athrun's helmet to reveal massive blood covering the left side of his face. Meyrin is taken back. Kira calls for an emergency stretch and unzips Athrun's pilot suit to reveal further blood stains.
Talia reports to Dullindal that they have failed to locate Djibril and take down ORB. Talia responds that it could be safe to say it was the effort of the Archangel, Freedom, and Justice that caused this. Dullindal thanks Talia and agrees that her decisions were correct. Shinn looks puzzled on the pilot lounge and only nods towards Lunamaria. On the deck of the Archangel, Neo Lornnoke stares alone into the ocean as Murrue approaches him. She tells him that the atmosphere inside must not suit him. Neo repeats some statistics about him. He says he doesn't know what to believe and who he really is. He tells Murrue that he knows her, but he doesn't. He goes up to Murrue and says he wants to stay by her side and asks if it was all right. Murrue acknowledges as they hug.
At the infirmary of the Archangel, Athrun attempts to get up but is stopped by Meyrin. Kira walks in and says that Athrun will always say that he is all right even when he's not. Athrun says that he is all right. Kira says that it's good that they can be talking in such a manner again. He asks Athrun if it was okay to turn on the TV. Athrun acknowledges and we see an announcement made by Cagalli. She says that Dullindal's words of striking down Logos for the better of the world sounds nice, but she doesn't buy it. Before she reveals her reason the transmission is cut and Meer is seen. Meer begins by saying her name is Lacus Clyne. Meer says that Logos is the cause of the blame and repeats about the tragedy of Junius Seven. Those that aim Nuclear Weapons at PLANT cannot be forgiven. Lacus says to Kira it's time and the two smile as they leave. Athrun is stunned. Strike Freedom launches from the Archangel and lands where Cagalli's broadcast was. The transmission is hacked again and this time it's Lacus. Lacus says that they shouldn't be fooled by her apperance. She repeats that her name is Lacus Clyne. Dullindal says that it was impossible for Lacus to be in ORB.
Review: Infinite Justice was awesome! Owned Shinn better than Kira could of. Well, Kira owned Shinn too. It's all good.
