Sypnosis: ZAFT is preparing their assault on Heaven's Baes. We see the Chairman on the bridge of the Minerva with other ZAFT captains, including Talia Gladys. Yzak is seen in space with another batch of ZAFT officers. In the Minerva hangar, we see Shin and Rey inspecting and researching on their respective Gundams. Lunamaria is also seen in the Core Spelndor talking with Vino and Youlan.
At Heaven's Base, we see many Windams in preparation and tanks lined up at the front. Jibril is in meeting with the surviving members of Logos. He rest assure that they will be protected. We see a Destroy in the hangar, with Sting putting on a Destroy-Pilot Suit.
At the Minerva pilot lounge, Lunamaria approaches Shin and praises how amazing the Impulse is. She tells them that she won't forget Logos for taking Athrun and Meyrin. She leans over to Shin for a kiss, Shin backs off and is about to cry. He grabs her and holds her close to him and drops his helmet. After they kiss each other. Shin tells Lunamaria that he will protect the Impulse out on the field. Lunamaria is somewhat taken back. Later Rey enters as the two disburst.
We see scenes of some EA officers, Meer on a bed with a large TV, and some Earth peasants and citizens watching a news report on the war. Among them were also Unato and Yuna Roma Seylan. On the Archangel, we see the hospitalized Meyrin and Athrun. Cagalli sits next to Athrun in his bed while he's unconcious. Neo is sleeping across from him.
Jibril commands the officers at Heaven's Base to begin firing at ZAFT. The EA ships begin firing the missiles as well as the turrets and tanks. The Chairman and the rest of the people on the Minerva seems surprised in their sudden act of hostility. They begin intercepting the missiles. The Windams and Jet Daggers begin to launch. Underwater, the Forbidden Blues begin their advance. We see the startup screen of a Destroy, the pilot is revealed to be Sting Oakley. The Destroy emerges from a crack within the mountain.
Kira is in the infirmary with Athrun. He begins regaining conciousness and sees a blurry Kira slowly get sharper. He instantly flashes back to Freedom's demise. His eyes becomes teary as he repeats that Kira was killed. Kira reassures him that he is alive, and helps him sleep back down on the bed. Athrun's face seems relieved.
Meanwhile on the battlefield, Sting begins his rampage, as he quickly blast and destroys several ships. ZAFT in space, begins their drop. Underwater, Forbidden Blues reek havoc on the Ashes (Now in a grey-ish color). Destroy on the surface easily wipes out DINNs and Babi units. Stings laughes triumphantly as he slaughters them easily. The Earth Alliance has dectected the ZAFT drops and prepare to fire a special cannon, as the mountain top opens up to reveal it.
The drop reveals 4 Zaku Warriors as they fall down towards the base. The EA activate this cannon, which is a hollow cone within the ground. Shooting lasers at the reflecting wall, it is concentrated into a deadly radiative beam, resembling GENESIS or the CYCLOPS system. It fires into the air, instantly destroying the droppers and their Zakus. Both Talia and Dullindal seems most displeaesd. The 3 Minerva pilots are also shocked. Shin requests permission from Talia to launch. Talia grants them.
Destiny and Legend makes their launch, followed by Lunamaria in the Core Splendor, forming Force Impulse. Meanwhile Yuna and Unato discuss about the situation. Yuna seems not at all worried, unaware the looming shadow over ORB. Unato seems to be deep in thought. Meanwhile back at Heaven's Base, Shin makes use of his Beam Launcher and takes down a Windam. He throws his Beam Boomerang, taking out another 2. Several more windams go down to his cannon. Lunamaria shows her worth as she takes several down Windams on her Impulse (reused scenes).
Suddenly a Destroy prepares to fire at Impulse. Shin blocks the beam with his Beam Shield. At the infirmary, Athrun asks Kira about Meyrin's fate. Kira assures him that Meyrin is doing alright as well. Destroy activates it's Mobile Suit mode, and destroys a Babi and GOUF with his chest cannon. He fires his hands as they take down two DINNs. Legend and Destiny prepares to intervene.
On the infirmary again, Miriallia, Cagalli, and Kisaka enter to visit him. Cagalli goes up to his bed and puts her hand on his head. She strokes his hair, revealing the ring which is still on her finger. Athrun seems surprised. Destiny begins intercepting a Destroy. He flashes back with scenes of Stellar's death and the extended data. Sting charges in at him with Destroy's finger beams. Shin blocks with his beam shield. He activates his Seed Mode and takes out his Sword. He activates his Wings of Light and beings leaving after images with Destiny. He dances arounds Destroy's Beams and chops off one of Destroy's arms. He then activates his Beam Palm attack, and grabs onto Destroy's head. He takes his hand off as he destroys it. (Can we say Shining Finger Rip to the Max?)
Arthur screams excitedly about Shin's amazing skill. Dullindal also seems very pleased. Lunamaria destroys several Windams with her beam saber (Also reused scene). She rallies some ZAFT suits on their advance. Legend also attacks a Destroy with his Double-Edge Beam javelin (Although it just seems like Freedom/Justice's double edge beam saber to me). He cuts the arm of a Destroy.
Underwater, a ZnO destroys a Forbidden Blue with his hand beam. Destiny closes in on a Destroy and takes one chop that cuts the entire Destroy Gundam in half. Shin tells Lunamaria to launch the Sword Silohette and give an Excalibur sword to Rey. The Sword Silohette launches and Lunamaria forms the Sword Impulse. She toses a sword over to Rey. Then she prepares to throw both Beam Boomerangs at a Destroy. Legend goes in and cuts one of the Beam Cannons on Destroy. The Beam Boomerangs hit the Destroy but does little damage. Lunamaria closes in with her saber and chops a bit of Destroy off. Sting's Destroy fires it's chest cannon at Shin. She blocks it with his beam shield and does the one hit kill move on Sting, stabbing the cockpit and causing Destroy to be destroyed (pardon the bad pun). Sting is then killed (once and for all).
Upon hearing the loss of 4 Destroys, Jibril quickly goes to an escape shuttle, leaving the other LOGOS members behind. On the next Destroy, Shin goes on to a left slash, Rey goes in for a right slash, and Luna slashes from top to bottom, causing the destruction of another Destroy. Shin, Luna, and Rey watches the aftermath of the battle. Lacus watches it from a screen in space and Kira seems saddened as well. Dullindal sits back on the Minerva with an evil smile on his face.
Review: New OP and ED! As well as a pretty action-filled episode. Destiny preformed very well there (but the Shining Finger to the head was overboard ripping from G-Gundam). Sting's reapperance was pretty redundant since he died by the end of the episode again. Lots of bizzare tactics from Shin (giving the Excalibur Sword to Rey made me laugh). I could go on, but this summary was really tiring.
