Sypnosis: Shin has nightmares with flashbacks of Phase 38 and his assault on Heaven's Base. There are brief scenes of him slaughter Windams and then his encounter with a Destroy. As he thrusts up in Destiny and slashes the cockpit he suddenly sees the cries of Stellar. Shinn then flashes back to Phase 32 and his encounter with Freedom. Then the flashback turns into Phase 35, as his Impulse goes and stabs Freedom which then shifts into Destiny stabbing into Athrun in a GOUF. Shin see's Athrun cry as the GOUF falls into the Ocean.
Rey goes over to Shin and shakes his chest trying to awaken him. Shin wakes up and lets off a big gasp. Rey says that he was having a nightmare. He tosses a towel over Shin's head and hands him a bottle of water. Shin mentions about his remorse in killing Athrun and Meyrin, Rey says that they are enemies and deserved to die.
The next day, the Minerva trio along with Talia and Arthur attend a ceremony, awarding Lunamaria, Rey, and Shin medals. In addition, Shin also earns the Order of the Nebula award (tibit, another winner of this reward was Rau Le Creusset from the Yggdrasil Battle). Dullindal further announces that both Rey and Shin are appointed to FAITh and presents them the badge. Shin looks in disbelief and Dullindal asks if he doesn't want to have it. Shin says no. Talia seems very suspicious of Dullindal. Eventually Rey accepts it and in turn Shin also accepts the FAITH Badge.
Talia congratulates Shin and following Lunamaria congratulates Shin on getting 2 awards as the trio walks off. Dullindal goes up to Talia and asks her what's wrong. Talia says it's not that she doesn't want Shin and Rey to be in FAITH, but she senses something odd. As they near an elevator, a ZAFT soldier runs up to Dulindal giving him urgent news from Carpentaria, Jibril was spoted at ORB. Upon eavesdropping, Shin's expression suddenly changed. His eyes look determined for the battle at ORB.
Meanwhile ORB is in a state of chaos. Cagalli looks angrily at the outcome. Murrue and Murdock have a chat on the hangar with the Archangel. It seems that the Archangel's repairs aren't ready enough for battle as of yet. In the infirmary, Meyrin tries to visit Athrun, but his conditions are still bad, so bad that he still cannot sit up properly. Cagalli meets up with Amagi on the Archangel. The Seylans are shown, with Unato secretly meeting with Jibril. Jibril mentions something about a "Requiem".
Yuna makes an announcement to the world that intices ZAFT to begin their assault. Cagalli gets very angry with the Seylans. ZAFT submarines begin their advances on ORB. Miriallia picks it up and reports to Cagalli and Murrue. The invasion begins as Jibril quickly escapes the Seylan mansion which gets bombed moments later. Yuna rushes into the command center and demands to know what's going on. An officer gets angry and calls him annoying. Yuna retorts and commands that all Mobile Suit launch.
The ORB Astray and Murasame units launch only to be easily taken down by GOUFs and Babis. Cagalli gets very angry and tells Amagi to prepare the Murasame launch. She tells Murrue that she will launch in the Skygrasper. Murrue tells her to stop, the Skygrasper serves as only fodder if she goes out in it. Cagalli insist and storms to launch. As she exits the bridge, she crashes into Kisaka and Erica. Cagalli tells them to get out of the way as Kisaka puts his hands on her shoulders. After some arguing, Erica tells that Uzumi left Cagalli a gift.
Amagi, Kisaka, Erica, and Cagalli go down to the underground storage with a dusty panel. They open the doors to reveal a darkened hangar. Erica goes to a light switch and pulls it up. The bright light reflecting off the Mobile Suit hurts Cagalli eyes. As she slowly opens them she sees the Akatsuki, gleaming in golden armor. Uzumi's voice narrates briefly. This causes Cagalli to kneel down and cry. Amagi is also crying in the background. Kisaka goes up to Cagalli and tells her to use the Akatsuki.
Cagalli starts up the Akatsuki, which has a custom ORB OS (with the codename ORB-01). The OS displays the same GUNDAM Acronym used by the original GAT-X's, (General Unilateral Neuro-Link Dispersive Autonomic Manuever Synthesis System). The Akatsuki launches and goes towards ORB. Meanwhile at ORB, the slaughter of the ORB suits continue. At the command center, Yuna gets angry and yells at the officers about them losing. Suddenly a GOUF gets destroyed by incoming beams. The Akatsuki and many Murasames in the sky following her appears. She tells a few of the Murasames to go with her towards the heated battle.
The ORB CC is surprised to see the unknown Mobile Suit, the Akatsuki. Cagalli tells them it's the daughter of Uzumi Nara Athha, Cagalli Yula Athha. Yuna is relieved to hear Cagalli and thanks her for saving him. Cagalli then orders the ORB officers to take care of Yuna. The ORB officer talking with Yuna before gives him a punch across the face, knocking him to the floor. Many other officers dog pile on him while beating him up.
The Murasame form the same attacking pattern as against Chaos in Phase 35, taking out 3 Babis in the proccess. 2 Babis fire their chest cannon at the Akatsuki. Cagalli absorbs the blast and reflects the beams back at them, destroying the Babis. The Akatsuki unleashes it's Plasma Beam Cannons and fires together with her rifle, destroying 3 GOUFs (in a similar fashion to Freedom's HiMAT). More GOUFs begin shooting beams as they easily deflect off the Akatsuki's body. ZAFT Subs are alerted about the defeat but suddenly emerges the Minerva.
Shin decides to independantly launch from the Minerva to engage the battle. Talia asks Rey why and Rey responds that since Shin is in FAITH, he should be allowed to do so. Destiny launches and enters the fight, killing off 2 Murasames. Cagalli watches Destiny and is reminded of him destroying a Destroy in Phase 38. Cagalli gets angry and goes towards Destiny. She fires a shot at Destiny as he blocks with his beam shield. Shin and Cagalli stare down each other angrily.
Review: Yay the Hyaku S.... Akatsuki makes it's debut! Seems that the reflective coating replaces the need for Phase Shift armor, as the entire Gundam is a reflective shield. Don't know how well it fares against balistic weapons, but it's not like Destiny has any. Anyways, you go girl! Own Shin! Too bad it's going to be a Recap nextweek =/
