Sypnosis: The Minerva's damage report comes in and it's not good. Talia says it's only a bit further till they reach Gibraltar to repair themselves. Stellar's condition seems to worsen and Lunamaria is seen waking up in the infirmary with an arm in a sling, mismatching underwear, and many bandages over her body. Athrun is seen alone in the dark in his room.
Many Murasame units are shown in the hanger of the Archangel. The ORB officers that fled to the Archangel under Todaka's command gather at the bridge as they greet Cagalli. Cagalli soon broke to tears after seeing the loyal ORB soldiers. The soldiers blame ORB for causing the destruction, but Kira comes and stops Cagalli from crying. He explains that the Earth Alliance and ZAFT had their part in this conflict too. The soldier recognized his name, Kira Yamato. He thanks him as Kira-sama, and all the ORB officiers salutes him. Kira is a bit astonished and Murrue laughs at his embarassment.
Shin is seen looking at Stellar's worsening condition. Meyrin, Vino, and Youlan begin conversing about Shin's awesome performance as Lunamaria walks in on them. Meyrin quickly asks if she's alright, and Lunamaria mocks her. Shin also comes in and gloats about his performance and how the guys in FAITH performed so poorly against Freedom. Athrun is seen on the deck of the Minerva looking at the sunset. He remembers the encounter with his father after siding with Kira, Uzumi, Dullindal, and Kira's words from Phase 28 about understanding Cagalli's feelings.
Shin suddenly appears on the deck. As soon as he sees Athrun he quickly turns to leave. Athrun stops him only to say it was nothing. Shin's anger builds up as he insults the power of the FAITH members. Shin scolds Athrun and asks if he truly wishes to fight the Earth Alliance.
Deep into the night, Shin is seen working on a computer next to his bed. Rey wakes up and asks him what was wrong, Shin denies there was anything. His screen shows Gaia, as he tries to determine the location of the EA base. Shin approaches the infirmary where Stellar is. He quickly runs up behind the nurse and knocks her out. He takes the bed with Stellar and makes his way to the launch bay. As a mechanic is conversing with a ZAFT MP, Shin quickly rolls the bed to the elevator. The MP yells for him to stop and Rey appears behind them.
One of them comes up to Shin and is about to fire when Rey knocks out one of the guards. He continues pummeling until only one is left. As he prepares to fire at Rey, Shin knocks him out from behind. Shin quickly rushes Stellar to the elevator and closes the door, hoping not to get Rey involved. Rey stops the door from closing and says a few words to Shin. Rey is going to take control of the launch so Shin can escape in Impulse. Shin climbs in the Coresplendor, with Stellar in his arms.
Rey is seen in the control room, with the door locked and knocked out soldiers on the floor. He tells Shin to launch. Shin launches and following him are the chest and leg fliers, with the Force Silohette. He combines into Force Impulse and flies off for the Earth base. Meanwhile Rey is taken into custody and is brought to Talia, Athrun decides to follow. As soon as Rey reaches Talia's Room, Athrun is ordered to wait outside as with the MPs.
Shin is picked up by the Earth Alliance radars. Neo tells him that his Windam is the only thing operational right now. Shin begins a conversation to the Earth Alliance, demanding to see Neo alone in a designated area. Neo agrees and launches in his custom Windam. He mutters about Chaos not being able to function. Stellar and Shin are in the cockpit of Impulse as they look towards the ocean. Suddenly Impulse's radar picks up Neo's Windam. Neo also sees Impulse landed on the ground, and lands himself next to it. He exits his cockpits and demands to see Stellar.
Shin and Stellar exit the cockpit. Shin asks Neo to promise one thing before he hands her over. He makes him promise that Stellar will lead a happy life from now on. Neo continues forward to Shin. Shin walks back and yells again to make him promise. Neo says softly that he promises. Shin walks forward and hands Stellar over to him. As Neo prepares to leave, Shin stops him. He took the shell and gives it to Stellar, telling her to remember him, Shin. Shin looks at Stellar who smiles back at him. He quickly runs back to Impulse as he cries. He wipes his tears with his sleeves and launches with Impulse. Neo and Stellar stare watching him fly off as the sun starts to rise. Stellar mutters, "Shin..."
My review: Shin became a more responsible person as he spent more time with Stellar. Athrun got a wake up call from Shin about Orb.
